A spreadsheet has no memory
A cell holds one number. It cannot tell you who changed it, when, or what the number was before, so a wrong count is unresolvable.

Metal buildings, basements and rural sites kill connectivity. Software that needs a live connection to record a checkout does not get used.

Built for the field, not the warehouse
Offline-first, not offline-tolerant
The Android app reads from a database on the phone rather than from the network. Scanning, checking out and checking in work with no bars at all. Actions queue locally and upload when the signal returns, and every action carries a client-generated id so a retry cannot double-count your stock.
Advisory, never obstructive
Reservations warn instead of blocking. Custody is tracked without gating work. The design rule is simple: a job site should never stop because software disagreed with reality. Discrepancies are surfaced to a manager afterwards instead of being enforced on a worker.
Quantities you can defend
Stock levels are derived from the transaction ledger: initial stock plus check-ins, minus check-outs, plus adjustments. Every number traces back to the action that produced it, which is what makes a disputed count resolvable instead of an argument.
Your data stays yours
Each company's data is isolated from every other company's. Access is controlled by role-based permissions that deny by default, and administrative actions are recorded in the audit log.
